Executive Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to the Infant Junior School and Camp Education!

I feel proud and privileged to be the Executive Headteacher of this school. Our school lies at the heart of our small and unique community in the Falkland Islands and is characterised by our friendly and open nature. Our staff team are truly committed and hardworking professionals who strive to ensure that every child makes good progress and is inspired to become a lifelong learner. We feel very lucky to live in such a special part of the world and maximise on all opportunities for learning and enjoyment through our geography and history, and our proximity to the amazing environment and wildlife that our South Atlantic islands are home to. I hope our website offers you an interesting insight into life in our happy school.

Our school provides primary education for the children of the Falkland Islands; we currently have over 300 pupils enrolled, including pupils who live in the rural areas (Camp) of East and West Falklands. The main school site is located in Stanley and we have three satellite schools in Camp at Goose Green, Fox Bay and Port Howard.

We are very proud of our school and the education that we provide. While it is our fundamental aim to raise the knowledge and improve the skills of children of all abilities in order to support the development of our Island home; our philosophy is to inspire and engage our children to become independent, confident learners who are equipped to be successful in their chosen future and, above all, enjoy themselves in the process. Human values are the golden thread that is woven through our curriculum and school life; we believe in respect, resilience and curiosity; our enduring values enable us to be happy, healthy citizens who can flourish.

Thank you for visiting our website, I hope that you find the information helpful and interesting. We update and add pages frequently – so keep looking out for new items. If we can help you further, please do contact us through the school office.
